- The Shredpack SP320 Cardboard Carton Shredder enables you to recycle your waste cardboard boxes, which is beneficial for the environment and can save you money by eliminating the need to purchase additional chips or bubble wrap, as well as reducing costs associated with skip removal or the compacting of old cartons.
- The SP320 Shredder is a single-phase unit that can be plugged into a standard 13amp socket, and can shred card products up to 320mm wide and up to 15mm thick at a rate of 12 metres per minute. The shredded cardboard is transformed into flexible lattice matting, which can then be used to void-fill or product-protect a wide range of items as required. The SP320 can produce 2-3m3 per hour of void-fill, with a recommended maximum run time of 6 hours, and occupies less than 0.5 sq.m of floor space. The unit also incorporates a cutting system that can trim and shred pieces of cardboard to a specific size in a single pass, making it ideal for individual items.
- The Shredpack SP320 (Vacuum Ready) Cardboard Carton Shredder includes a connection for a vacuum dust extraction system (sold separately), which reduces dust in dust-sensitive work environments and minimizes maintenance requirements.
- Safe, clean, and quiet, the Shredpack Cardboard Shredder is CE/EMC compliant and built to class IE2 energy efficiency, which is up to 30% more energy efficient and uses less electricity for the same performance. The soft start feature reduces component wear and makes operation quieter. Shredpack Cardboard Shredders meet BS EN ISO 13857:2008 standards, which stipulate that a 20mm-high opening to a blade mechanism must incorporate a minimum safety distance of 120mm. Shredpack, a leader in innovation and operator safety, exceeds these requirements by providing a safety distance of 140mm.
- These machines come with a power inverter as required by the IEC3 Premium Efficiency standard. We recommend not connecting them to a power circuit protected by an RCD or RCBO device as this may cause nuisance tripping. If connection to a protected circuit is unavoidable, we suggest the use of a Type B protection device, although this may not completely eliminate the tripping but will reduce it.
- Please note that while these machines can shred staples, Shredpack recommends that customers remove them where possible to increase the lifespan of the cutting head. Additionally, most users will want to remove the staples anyway because any left behind may scratch the goods if used for packaging materials. Shredding non-paper and cardboard materials such as plastic tapes and strapping can damage the machine and void the warranty.
- The SP320 comes with a 2-year manufacturer's return-to-base warranty and is available with Rental options to spread out the purchase cost. An optional Dust Reduction Unit is available to collect any dust residue, which can be installed in pre-designated locations for convenience.
- ShredPack highly recommends performing regular cleaning and maintenance on your shredder in order to optimize its performance. You can learn more about the proper cleaning and maintenance techniques from one of our knowledgeable staff members.
