- The SP316 Shredder is a single-phase unit that plugs into a standard 13amp socket, and shreds card products up to 320mm wide and up to 12mm thick at a rate of 10 metres per minute. It produces flexible lattice matting that can be used to void-fill or protect a variety of items on demand. The SP316 produces 1-2m3 per hour of void-fill with a recommended maximum run time of up to 6 hours and has a footprint less than 0.5sq.m. The unit also incorporates a cutting system, so in a single pass, the machine simultaneously cuts and processes the cardboard, trimming and shredding pieces to a given size - perfect for individual items.

- These machines are fitted with a power inverter as required by the IEC2 Premium Efficiency standard - it is not recommended to connect them to a power circuit protected by an RCD or RCBO device, as this may cause nuisance tripping. If connection to a protected circuit is unavoidable, we suggest the use of a Type B protection device, although this still may not completely eliminate the tripping but will reduce it.
- Please note that while these machines will shred staples, SP316 recommends customers remove them where possible as it will increase the wear on the cutting head and therefore shorten the life of the machine. Furthermore, most users will want to remove the staples anyway as any staples left behind may scratch the goods if used for packaging materials. The shredding of non-paper and cardboard materials like plastic tapes and strapping may damage your machine and negate your warranty.
